V2X communication is an emerging and innovative technology that enables the exchange of cooperation, alert, and multimedia messages in a wireless vehicular environment. This type of communication makes it possible to connect a vehicle not only to other vehicles, but also to infrastructure, the cellular/cloud network, and vulnerable road users (such as motorcyclists, cyclists and/or pedestrians), thus covering a wide range of applications from traditional infotainment cases to the most advanced cooperative and assisted driving functions.
